Here is my Etch-A-Sketch rendition of a wonderful cartoon by Arthur Giesert about an Etch-A-Sketch, that appeared in the October 17, 2005 issue of New Yorker. My friend Rivkah Lapidus shared the cartoon with me.

I recently picked up the Etch-A-Sketch after a 4 year hiatus. This was Saturday morning's sketch for the day.

Etch-A-Sketch Puzzle - Length: 6:24

The MIT Mystery Puzzle Hunt takes place every year on Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend. Teams solve puzzles which lead them to more puzzles. The team that gets to the end first wins - which means that they get to write the puzzles for the next year.

My friend Francis Heaney was on the winning team in 2002, so he was on the hook for coming up with puzzles for the 2003 Mystery Puzzle Hunt.

Here is a landscape I did at a vacation spot the Swansons have visited over the years.

The key chain to our Paris apartment had a tiny Etch-A-Sketch. This had to be done.

Probably my last piece of "art" of the previous millenium. It is quite clear that this was done from memory, since the base of Africa is too narrow.
